Nice, that's some rare stuff you got there! I never knew this game made it into a finalized cart with box. That's weird, I was expecting the PAL version to read StarWing or Lylat Wars. This is the real deal, right?
I think it's more a nice fan made box, mainly as SHVC-AD8J is the code for er DOOM. A more realistic code would be SHVC-AFO2 (which doesn't exist and SHVC-FO was starfox).
Yeah, I did a google search and it lead me straight to that. Still neat though. I've never had the opportunity to get anywhere in the game (tried the ROM years ago and crashed on the emulator), as I'm hoping I can somehow get it into a cartridge format in the near future and play it on real hardware.
Those are some nice looking pictures. How'd you make the box and manual and the label? They certainly look good in the pictures atleast. I still need to desolder the DOOM mask rom and put in my EPROM. But it's been cold outside so leaving the garage open while I solder can't be done.
Very much *NOT* the real deal. It's always a shame when someone tries to pass off a repo as an original. -hl718
I agree hl718, it isn't "the real deal". The "real deal" doesn't exist. It never made it to mass production. Anything anyone makes is just a custom job or a pirate job depending on what they do with it.
The Japanese box had me fooled for a while there but thats until I saw the Pal box which is clearly fake I think. Nice try though
Neither box had me fooled for a second as they look pretty poorly printed, real boxes are shiny, the black bits on the boxes show them up easily as fakes as they are patchy & not uniform. Also if it was real the manual wouldnt have the words sample rom on it.
Sorry, my English is really ugly I had not understood question :110: it's me which is fabricated the catouche of SF2. Therefore it is one not official game.
Everyone knows it isn't the real thing. SF2 was 100% unreleased. None the less I think he did a very nice job with the boxes and labels. No they don't have the professional mass produced quality, you can't do that at home, but he put some real effort into it, more effort than many HK bootlegs. NOTE: When he said it was real I think he thought we were asking if the cartridge really worked. ~Krelian
That's true that I put a lot of time to make my boxes (more than 20 hours for some). the rest of my job
I didn't notice the thing about the non-shiney black till you mentioned it. Still there's only so much you can do at home. Maybe if you have access to commercial equipment you could do something professional. Still you have some nice looking boxes Clad-
Ah, no worries then. When you said they were "the real deal" it read as though you were trying to claim they were actual production carts made by Nintendo. Hence the somewhat frosty reception. As homemade reproduction carts they look great though! You should be proud of the effort. That said, the comment about the PAL version is correct. It would never have shipped as StarFox 2. It would have been under the Lylat Wars name. -hl718
http://www.generation-snes.fr/Forum/index.php?showtopic=198&page=1 go on "Verso" ;-) I know :110: It is exactly this !! The rom of StarFox 2 translated into French and the Japanese rom have the same name therefore I left as her
