Hi, I have a PAL SNES (no 1chip) with SuperCIC programmed by me with TE20 and WinPic800. I got an bandgap error on verify, but one spanish forum says that apparently is normal and I should not worry. Everything, imports and 50/60hz works great, my problem is with the only SuperFX cart I have: Starfox JAP doesn't work: When the SNES is "cold" (switched off for a time), game starts with sound & image but shortly hangs, later blank screen and intro music, and finally blank screen. I'm using "auto" mode, but the other modes fail too. At first I did the installation with original CIC inserted, but because of this problem I have now removed it and redo the installation with 10k resistor, but still the same result. Picture may appear a messy installation, but everything has been tested, no shorts, in fact the installation is not the same as the previous one with original CIC inserted, and the result is the same, even without the led disconnected (my led is +5v common). I've inserted 100uf (not nf as some of you said, I think it should be uf - or maybe non electrolityc?) just in case. Thanks for reading
I have get rid of this mod and only lifted pin 4 of CIC and did the 60hz mod (both PPU pins to GND), and get the same result. The game only starts when the console is cold. This game works ok in another PAL modded console, and dirty slot is not an issue I think #strange
I totally undid all the mods, fitted CIC and test a PAL Starwing... and it is not working either, so my PAL SNES have a problem only with Super Fx games. Any help will be appreciated.
