What's up guys? I've started a new YouTube channel that involves some reviews and recent collecting.. kinda v-log style. A few things I noticed after watching over them is.. Yes the camera is way too shaky I need to buy a better camera, and I gotta work on my tongue getting twisted.. not that I stutter a lot it's just I forget my thoughts. Script? I don't want to over edit my videos with colour correction or any of that, just raw v-logging about my collection and experiences... I might work on an intro, but not too sure.. There are great people on YouTube that I currently follow on their v-logs and I've tried to adapt to that. Of course their first videos are much rather sketchy and are sorter par to my videos with a lot of "um" and "ah" and I tend to do that a lot -_- so I'm guessing it's not a horrible start I don't know So here is my channel http://www.youtube.com/user/hex1gon?feature=g-u-u first video is rather long as it's my most longest look at nearly every N64 game I own which is only 18 or so, but they're from my childhood and I wanted to share those memories... Anyway, let me know what you would do to improve my videos as if they were your own.. Apart from the camera issues they're already on noted. I'm not very up to date with cameras, so if you know a cheap video camera that at least is 720p I'm open to suggestions I don't have much to spend so budget is around the $150-$180. Thanks for your time guys, I know many of you give great advice so more of that would help me a lot  I'm also not sure where I should post this.. please move it if it's out of place.
Get an iPhone 4 or 4S. They're within your budget, and they have great cameras for the price and size. Plus it's an iPhone. The 4S will even do 1080p.
Where can anyone get an iPhone 4 or 4s for $180? Thats an incredible price. Hexigon, as far as advice goes, I suggest using the camera to show more detail of the items you are presenting. For instance, when you said that the v64 has 2 sets of a/v ports, I was curious about what the back of it looked like and how the whole thing interconnected. Since you only showed it from the same angle throughout the entire video, viewers might as well have been looking at a picture. Aside from that, good job describing the v64 in depth, I didn't know much about those before I saw your video.
Thanks so much for watching my review Cyberghost.. I plan to do another video of the V64 in even more detail as I demo the unit.. going through the menus and such and what they do. This will include a more in depth talk of the switches at the back and the ports and what not. Thanks for the advice, I'll surely take it aboard. ^^
I will subscribe to you when I get back home , dont like logging on to my youtube account at work... PS You should allso look into getting yourself a tripod, it will make your life a lot easier and make the vids look more professional
My channel is here http://www.youtube.com/user/PocketTim?feature=mhee I tried to do something similar to you but lost interest in the end, although I intend to start it up again focusing on Dreamcast stuff this time. Anyway I'd think twice about going down the HD route especially if you plan on uploading a lot of videos often. If you're connection isn't great it takes bloody ages sending large videos up. I'd max it at 720p either way. The iPod Touch 4G records 720p so it's probably your best bet.
Give it a go man, cause you can set "Target File Sizes" which it tries to keep quality but lowers the file size. Worth a shot, doesn't take too long on a Mac actually.
Well here is a video for you fasman, I have talked about the unit a little more with the switches and ports at the back together with a demo of the unit. Enjoy!
I'm fairly familiar with Handbrake, I use it quite a lot it just hadn't occurred to me. My biggest concern at the minute is thinking of something new to add. I have partnership and a handful of views has earned me a little money, would be awesome to have something go viral.
Just got to my home PC to subscribe (Youtube user name: HPZeta) Second video is a lot more informative, I am looking forward to some more videos...
Thanks fasman for the support! @Twimfy I hope to do the same, it really all takes time anyhow I've been offered partnership on my original channel sadly I cannot accept it because I have video game content on there..
