EA will distribute the games made by some of their developers. They also distributed Sim City which was a disaster. And they were just voted worst company in the US by consumerist.com readers.

Disney has made some horrible decisions so far with its new Star Wars property. So far all of it is bad except for Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote Empire and Jedi, is hired as a story consultant. Everything else has been to destroy the franchise. Maybe not purposefully but they're treating Star Wars like its just another franchise property like Dora the Explorer or something.

EA Canada headquarters are not too far from where I live.
When I go by I laugh.

They got voted twice as the worst video game company. For good reason, too.

I really hope they can make something worth playing and not soil the starwars name.

I was afraid of something like this happening. So this is why LucasArts was put down? What the hell Disney? Out of ANY western publisher you could've picked, you chose EA? Fucking EA? The publisher notorious for pissing off fans and ruining any developer and franchise they get their hands on? Did they forget SW:ToR was one of the biggest financial bombs for a video game in history? Why the hell would anyone trust them to make and budget a good Star Wars game? Why do almost all of my sentences end in a question mark? Why Disney, why?

From EA? Fuck that noise. EA/BioWare need to stay the hell away from KotOR (and Star Wars as a whole).

BioWare sucks now, they couldn't write a decent story to save their lives. I'd much rather they hand off KotOR to Obsidian. They've wanted to make a true KotOR III for the longest, and unlike modern BioWare they actually have the talent to do it.

Nice. The animation looks a bit stiff, but rest looks fantastic.

    This.

Forget Innovation. EA will just slap a Star Wars skin on existing games.

Just like the NFL deal killed any kind of remote creativity with football games.

10$ says these games will be exclusive on consoles to CrapboxFusion720 and Origin on PC.

Just imagine how horrible the new Star Wars milked yearly movies will be. Most likely they won't give a crap about established story or the Expanded Universe in the name of Creative freedom. And will end up just stealing ideas from the EU as a template and put them in some other retarded direction.

    Disney you suck.

Well, First Assault did kinda look like a Battlefield clone...

Remember back when 2k games released NFL 2k5, and how it had much better graphics than Madden 05, far better presentation using ESPN, your own upgradable penthouse full of random shit to do, and other unique game modes like the first person football, all for a reasonable $20?

I actually enjoyed NFL games before EA came along with that deal.

And while first assualt did look somewhat like BF. What modern first person shooter that focuses on larger scale warfare wouldn't? (And honestly did not see enough of FA to judge whether it was completely)

Either way, I won't play another DICE made MP game until they fix their broken hit detection and constantly decoupling hit-boxes.
Two things both Bad Company 2 and BF3 have in common.

In BC2's case, the game constantly favors high-ping players over low-ping players. I would stick to NA servers and trying to play a conquest game was an exercise in futility. I would be one of the few players on the server that had a ping less than 200 and actually trying to do well when the hit boxes are all over the place was endlessly frustrating. Meanwhile, playing on a server with a Ping-limit was a joy. Except for when you have a higher ping by 70ms than some other guy in Squad Deathmatch to the point where YOU became the one who was wonking up the game for everyone else.

It makes playing them for anything but shits and giggles a joke online.
