Some of the younger might dislike this, but I find its minimal and random design to be something out of the 80s or blade-runner, which makes it fine to live with!

Plus, who can argue with better cooling?

 

For me that is much better looking than MS version. Any ideas on price?

Judging on the fact that the distance between the ring and the drive bay haven't changed, I would safely say that the case is almost twice as wide as the original console and almost twice as tall.

It's certainly a lot nicer looking than Lian-Li's PC-XB01 replacement case, which is an absolute beast. I'd like to see it in gloss black with silver trim round the DVD drive.

 

I still like to see a picture with a direct comparison of the factory xbox360 and this ... thing ;-)

 

I have a 360 almost since its launch or around that time..I m well out of warranty and this is my second console.

Granted, I don't play much on it because the noise levels keep me uneasy, I wouldn't mind if it turned into this beast!

I think the only way to know about a price is to send them an e-mail.

Do I hear anyone who's interested? I can ask for a better price maybe if there's enough demand? :shrug:

No idea if they're being made though, considering it says "comes out Aug2009".. I have yet to see a review somewhere.

It's pretty cool. Maybe that'll be the fate of my import box or my old local one...

I don't like placement of the power/controller indicator thingy, though. Wish they'd put it centered on one of the sides, or maybe done some sort of creative spin on it.

 

I think it's rather cool looking. But I have a question about all these noisy 360 stories. Mine is very quiet. Much more quiet than my PC. In fact my Dreamcast makes more noise. The only time my 360 becomes noisy is when I run a game from the DVD drive (DVD movies are fine). Is this what you guys are always talking about? If so, why not just install your games to the HD?

Not even the DVD drive? When copying a game to the HD is spins like mad resulting is some really loud vibrations. So loud that I can hear it through the floor when I go downstairs. Apart from that is very quiet since DVD movies don't spin that fast and I play games from the HD.

 

I've never copied games to the hard drive so I don't know how loud it is during that, but besides that it's quiet. My dreamcast is louder.

 

I had a release 360, it literally sounded like a jet engine when you played a game, i own a jasper now, it's pretty quiet.
