I find it odd that Street Fighter Anniversary Collection Arcade Stick is released for the PS2 and Xbox systems when both systems have less then steller fighting games and nothing earth shattering comming their way in the near future or beyond.

uhh..well, they got street fighter, and its the reason why they released it on those two systems. wouldn't you find it strange that capcom release their arcade stick because of the kof serie? i would.

Xbox has or will have SVC, KOF2k2/2k3, MvC2, CVS2, SFAC to name a few fighting games.
I bought the stick and for my money, it seems more at home with the xbox than the PS2 (in the USA) because xbox has more 2D fighters out right now.

In the US at least, the Xbox has more 2D fighters at the moment.
Sony America doesn't seem to be bringing stuff out.

  6. Xbox also has a lot of the Live-equipped games. Not that that matters to me, but it is a hot gimmick for some. They also do have the only English port of Guilty Gear XX #reload. On the inverse, PS2 has GG Isuka.
Well, when you think about it, would it have made sense for them to release the stick for the Saturn or the Dreamcast in the US? It would only really be profitable for the XBox, PS2, and Gamecube, and of those three, it only makes sense for a PS2 and XBox release - I can only think of two fighting games on Gamecube currently, Soul Calibur 2 and Capcom Vs. SNK 2. If you look at it, both PS2 and Xbox really do have a decent 2d fighting library, the PS2 even moreso as it can tap into the PSX's library as well.
Basically, like I said, it just wouldn't have made sense to release the stick on any other consoles.

Well I guess so, but it would have been cool to add Saturn and DreamCast compatability as well but then you would have a lot of cables :D

ehh... most of players wouldn't find it like a plus, and it would cost more to produce anyway.
