I got the Street Fighter Bug and I only have Alpha and EX on PS2 and my OG XBOX is all funky far as arcade stick set ups go.

SO..........I popped in SFAni collection in my 360.

I mapped the button as so

    LB- LP
    X- MP
    Y- HP

    RB -LK
    A- MK
    B- HK

D pad sucks so I used Analog

I didn't do too bad but since LP+LK are throw it was tricky getting that pulled off.

Considering I hate Japanese sticks The Hori isn't an option for me.

So.....what are you fighting game soultions for 360?

Gotta get all prepped for SF IV later this year.

That's a good idae, building your own stick or changing the parts in it. But probably the best solution, fuck it and buy it for PS3. That's what M$ get for having such a piece of shit DPad. It might as well not even be there.

well it would be cheaper to just get it on PS2 BUT.....Xbox live
PSN IS NOT a viable option for Online even when SSFHDRPAEXUOM comes out

I'll get a PS3 when like everyone I need an HD player

Wait, PSN isn't viable yet you don't own a PS3 and haven't actually used PSN? That's not really fair to judge a service without having used it. And surely PSN can and will improve.

Most people are inagreement when I say PSN you get what you pay for
    NOTHING.

anyways I can't play 3rd strike on line with PS3 anyway. The PS2 Aniversary collection didn't have online

I've used PSN and would rather use XBL. It gets the job done no doubt about it though.

Um... PSN and XBL have nothing to do with wether you experience lag or not. That's entirely up to your opponents, their internet connection, and their location on Earth. XBL and PSN are just gateways.

Also, most games are programmed so that you hopefully won't notice lag, but it is still there. Lag often leads to things happening that are impossible. Like in PDZ, you run behind a building only to be killed well after line of sight is lost. In other games lag can be exploited to your advantage. Anyway, in a fighter like Street Fighter I really would be pissed off about any lag. And the best system for smooth gameplay erquires your control be delayed which is shitty. Otherwise the game might have to slowdown. The worst you could do is use prediction to try to hide any lag.

Really fighting games are meant to be played with the guy you are fighting in the same room. In japan it's probably not so bad since the country is small compared to ours and probably has better connections between players. But over here, unless you are in the same state you're probably going to have too much lag for a fast paced fighter. Atleast too much to be bullshit free.

Honestly vf5 is the only fighter i played online that plays flawless. I've thought of getting the xbox version sfa collection but I was wondering how bad the lag is on that version?

Depends on where in the world your opponent is.

Also there are some issues with it's BC I get some minor slow down when I use Akuma. There some small graphical problems too. Hyper SF II is flawless on 360 though.

SFA i didn't have many problems when I played (i got it when it came out and played regularly for about 6 months). You have to alter your play style though, to compensate for the lag because itis noticiable if you are obsessed with fighters (frame counting, etc)
