They were on ebay not long ago. Sadly, I missed my chance on bidding for those. :banghead:

Anyone got any info on which versions they are and if they are already dumped ?

DCEvoCE: Do you mean the label of the cartdridge? If so, it's really weird :S . It's labeled with the modern design but the manual and box show the old one. Maybe is it a re-release of the game?

It's a pirate IMO, just look at the label and box. Certainly not a beta.

The bottom picture in the first post isn't a pirate. The gold Mega Drive writing is the ASIAN version. I owned this version myself back when the game was originally released. It comes with a black & white English instruction book and a colour one. Actually one of the books may be in Chinese. I can't really remember. It's no pirate that's for sure.

As for the top picture it is a pirate for sure.

The picture in the 2nd post could be a re-release. I did hear of some re-releases having new style cartridges with the blue bank but keeping their original boxes.

Ah yeah, I was talking about the first picture. The box in the second picture is typical of the imports they'd sell in Telegames back in the day (I used to love that shop).

    As others hace said..

    1st piccie = pirate
    2nd piccie = Asian version
3rd piccie = UK Blue Border cart version. (As Yakumo says I think this is just a rerelease..there are many 'blue box' pal MD games as they're known by some collectors..although I've never actually seen a blue box for SoR II, just the blue cart)

It's odd that the Asian version uses the PAL box artwork instead of the far superior original Japanese artwork. Regarding the UK blue border cart: I never saw anything like that here in Germany. I am kinda surprised to hear that this seems to be common in the UK.

I always found it very odd the way Asian games us the western art work yet use a Japanese style looking cartridge. When I went to Singapore it was a very sad sight to see that all game covers were western style. In Hong Kong though quite a lot of Japanese style art was used.

I've been looking for the blue box for about five years (I've seen it in a portuguese add). The blue label popups rather frequently on portuguese network but always with the standard box. BUT serial numbers never match so I really don't know what to think.
As a comparison, I've bought once a blue labeled cover factory sealed Dr Robotnik's mean bean machine (french rerelease), opened it and found the standard cartidge and booklet so I thought the mystery was solved. But two months ago, spotted a blue label cartidge in the standard box o_O
That makes me go mad coz now, I need to check a couple of other games that are in this case to found out any new versions (like german toe jam and earl 2 for instance)
