No please put a price on it or take it off the list. The rules state everything must be priced.

I think the prices on your development items are too high, i.e. Raptors, Silver games and the update kit.

Not to thread crap, but you seem to have some issues with pricing things. I know you've asked for help on setting the ammmount, so here's what i think would be fair:

    August '01 recovery...
    Raptors... (on a good day)
Silver Games... each (there are literally thousands of these out there)
Debug update pack, i'll assume it's from August 01,

EDIT: You saw the what i thought the prices should be. Since i'm not trying to thread crap, i'll edit them out. I hope you get what you're asking for.

:evil:I am flexible a bit on the raptors, and the recovery disk. If I can't get at least 20 for the silver and beta though, then I will just keep them. And as most of you guys probably know, and for those of you who don't, I am the one on ebay who paid that ridiculous amount for the update package. I thought it was the actual box from a dev kit, not the dev kit it self, but like the box of accessories that comes with it when new. So..... Thanks again fpr looking.

:evil:A Raptor Emulator card is a Pci card that goes into a computer. It allows you to hook up a hard drive inside the computer. Then when you build projects on your computer (ie: a game or app you are developing) you can build it on the hard drive hooked up to your raptor card. Then you can hook up the card to a developnment kit, and emulate how the software will react as a dvd. It basicly eliminates the need for a developer to constantly be making disks to test the game they are working on.

:evil:The Update pack has the August 2001 Recovery Final disk, A Hd a/v pack, an advanced a/v pack (the one with s-video), a Rf adapter, an Enhanced SCART cable, and a scart adapter. It has the original box, and the original checklist that is included in it.

:evil:I am uploading some pics tonight so I will post link in a few mins. Thanks again all for looking.

I'll give you $25 for the update kit... considering a fellow member bought one BIN for 20.

Sorry but I'll bid $45 for the update pack. Would be a nice addition to my devkit.

    :evil:Sorry, but $25 and $45 just won't do it. THanks for looking.

  17. ...If the market rate is like $20, like I think was mentioned in your other thread, surely bids of $25 or more give you a healthy profit?

OE> Paintball also commented that he "went overboard" when bidding on eBay for this kit and spent a lot more than he should have, which would explain him not wanting to sell even when the offers are above market value.

That is one of the odd quirks I've noticed about collectors. Everyone wants a deal but no one wants to admit when they paid too much or the value on their item dropped.

Just because you may have paid double or triple what an item was worth doesn't mean the item has gained value. It just means you paid too much. If you ever want to sell, chances are good you are going to lose money. Too many people think "Oh, it's rare. I can just sell it for more than I paid and make a quick buck!"

It's the same deal with the Raptors. He's posted prior threads on their worth, but when offered going rate on them turned it down.

Theres nothing wrong with him turning the offer down. Hes already said hes paid over the odds and if he cant get his money back then he should keep them untill hes happy with a price.

  20. It's nice to hear someone that understands exactly what I mean...

...There's times when you have to cut your losses, and think yourself lucky that you are getting ANY offer!!

...I know it's sad but 'if' you did pay over the odd's in the first place you have to accept that a loss is inevitable and that an offer from here maybe your lucky break.
