Ok, So I recieved one of those Official prototype flash cart regular DS games (from Europe), but the only console I have is a retail USA 3DS XL. The game icon pops up, but I get an error if I try to boot. Do I need a Dev console, A regular DS Lite, or is the regular DS region locked? My apologies in advance for such silly questions, but I know you guys are the Pros on this stuff. Thank you kindly in advance.
The region lock is so horribly useless, we disregard it. iQue DS roms are fixed by a mere one byte hex edit.
Just ordered a nice condition DS lite, can't wait to check out this game. Off topic - I don't believe this game is dumped. What is the easiest and most affordable way for me to dump this prototype without mailing it out? I've heard if the Magickey 2 & 3, but never seen them for sale.
cant you do it over wifi using a R4 card and homebrew or something? I remember hearing something like this years ago..
I'd say look into getting any one of those slot-2 flash carts with MiniSD/MicroSD/CF cards, most of them can do this - but I haven't kept up to date about DS dumping for a loooong time and wifi dumping sounds much more convenient... Still, if you have access to such a cart that'd be an easy way to do it. The wifi method (using "wooddumper") is described here.
Definitely interested, Thanks! Please send me a message. I just got a DS Lite in the mail and it works.
Odd. It was some horse game. There was 'equine' in the title or something. The video just showed it booting up to the mail menu, which had a picture of a horse on the bottom screen next to pictures of flags to select language. The video did not show past the main menu.
