Fair enough. I guess the last thing I'll add is that the size of the screen and your distance from it also make a tremendous difference, but that never seems to get much discussion when people talk about RGB. Back in 2004 or so I was stuck in a cupboard-sized room and had to make do with a 14" 1084. On a screen that size from a distance of a few feet you won't notice composite losses anything like as much as a larger CRT or digital set that occupies a good chunk of your visual field. It's only really since I moved to larger screens that I started caring about RGB, because the problems of lossy signals become more apparent.

I imagine my screens aren't perfect. Damn sight better than some of my friends' digital sets, though - it's a horror to behold the "shop floor" settings that come with TVs these days, insanely saturated, high contrast etc. The really sad thing is that people get used to it, and then think that a properly adjusted set is wrong. Skin should not be apricot-orange in colour.
