Hey guys I've reached a weight that is making me uncomfortable so I need to get back to run. I enjoy running in my neighborhood and not in gyms so I want to know do you guys enjoy it too? Which music you listen while running? I need something that gives some energy, electronic music or maybe some metal. Let me know your preferences.
Haha -- Oh, lordy. Here's a few mixes I've made. They range from pretty deep/mellow (actually, just 2) to great for running. Most of them are between 123 and 125 BPM. I think "Deep Doo Doo" is about 121 BPM, and is more for smoking dope while getting your pole stroked. All should be pretty groovy. I jog to them all the time. Best of luck man -- hope it helps. http://soundcloud.com/kiss-o-matic
LOL!!! For today standards it's kind slow but eye of the tiger will always be a classic! ray: @ GaijinPunch I was thinking in something a little more.. complex.. tech house is too raw for my electronic musical taste. I'm enjoying a lot of PacMan Championship DX soundtrack. Do you know what gender is it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uhqnCIfmlY Here's the music. Something like this, you know more?
LOL molossus is nice! When you speak of trance can you give more details? The only trance dj I know is armin van buuren and yes it's awesome! )
Maybe some punk ska like The VooDoo Glow skulls, Flaming Tsunamis, Big D and The Kids Table, Stuck Lucky. And this 16-bit compilation I've been listening to lately called Soundshock: FM Funk Madness!! gets me pretty pumped in gym class too.
I usually listen to those hero rises themes from animes ^^ Like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TsE01qdy5A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMdbsDj8_JU
yeah this compilation is more like my taste!! Thanks a lot ) I remember a time when I downloaded a lot of "mod music". It was a website that I think it was called mod archives but now when I try to access it it's too different. It was like songs in strange pc formats and in 10kb each, 1mb tops. but I lost all the ones I've selected that were good and I don't remember the name of any song It ws back in 2005. @ Padoca Hey! This music sounds great ) Off topic a girlfriend of mine, that lives here in my city Araraquara has a boyfriend that his nickname is Padoca LOL. It would be really scary that it would be you. By the way, imagine if there was something like this for 1 hour LOL this is the kind of music that pump your veins out: Operation C GameBoy Boss Battle soundtrack I love this music.
I usually run to more upbeat alternative music or ska/punk, mixed with some electronic. Here's a couple songs from my most recent running playlist. Wake Up by Arcade Fire - this song just gets me hyped beyond belief and causes me to run and run and never wanna stop. haha http://youtu.be/9zdNdjF-htY 25! by Bomb the Music Industry - a great song with some nice little blips and bloops. Good upbeat tempo that explodes at the chorus and doesn't let up. http://youtu.be/FHxZo-aSffQ The Distance by Cake - i mean, c'mon, this is the perfect running song. The chorus will get you hyped to the max. http://youtu.be/i9ZgmG8oZ7o Vanished by Crystal Castles - alternate your strides to the beat of this song and it's just about the perfect pace. http://youtu.be/56E8yYgLNHE Plainsong by The Cure - It's kinda hard to explain, but I love running to this song. I usually listen to this twice in a row. http://youtu.be/bZoYzne9Tpg That's probably enough for now I guess. I have about 30 songs in my "run" playlist but it changes every other week or so... Hopefully this gave you some ideas. I've got Big D on my playlist too but I see that they were already mentioned. Great band! =)
The pac man song is too fast for me. 120-125 is even kind of fast for jogging, if you ask me, but to each their own.
Personally I listen to Audio books as if you have a fairly straight jogging route then you can read a lot more then you would normally do.
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=FLz98sq_Dl3GYBVYkSdKd25A&feature=mh_lolz Take a look at my favorites here. Ignore the tekken videos and funny stuff. All the electronic music here is good quality stuff
ABBA of course While I'm running to catch a train in london, it's always nice to have "Waterloo" playing. Especially when i'm running through London Waterloo... I assume it would be good for normal running too
@ graciano wow! I've listen to all of them but besides bomb the music industry, the others are for a nice jogging in the park not running. The cure is always epic and very emotional, those songs are made to be listened sitting down or taking a relaxing walk. @ alphagamer THANKS A LOT FOR THIS!! This song is awesome! It's not fast but could be used for a jogging time. This one will give me a nice time with my girlfriend, also. Do you know more music like this? @ Daytime Dreamer top quality indeed. Signalrunners is pretty nice! and no abba, no beethoven lol I'm loving this thread
Try some remixes by either Future Breeze or Airscape, Timo Maas, Robert Miles, 3 Drives on a Vinyl (Album '2000') and this track, naturally http://youtu.be/ZLrDW64DnIM
