OOOh yes I forgot about Tapatalk. I use the forum on my phone a lot and it could use mobile support. Also I'd quite like to see a more established rep system. I think it's handy for building trust etc and knowing who's a bad egg. Plus my green dot says something more positive and my internet ego would like it to stay that way
This crap lasted so long for virtually no reason? As for suggestions: - more boobs - more liquor - less moral - more violence Now let me put on my serious reading glasses. - Reduce number of subforums (maybe stuff like the differently named forums in a certain subforum could be merged?) - I'm not against tapatalk as long as it is still possible to access the forums the regular way! I am perfectly fine w/out tapatalk.
If you add more forum make sure they are not subforum. Keep then all visible on the main page. It's annoying otherwise. If their is too much stuff now on the main page, it might worth thinking to merge the 3 SEGA related dev forum and the two Xbox related forums. If Sony and Nintendo stuff each can be hold in one forum for each I don't see why a company who don't manufacture system anymore would have 3. Also most of the digital conservation forum are useless with less than 100 thread and no new posts. I understand it's nice while the project is running to have a clean forums to talk. But once the game is release everything should be moved in an archive forum. So merge Dezaemon 64DD, Propeller Arena, Sonic Xtreme release project & Trespasser into "Archives" And once Geist Force project is complete merge it too.
i think the sega forums need cleaning have a genial sega forum then sub forums for each console/console arcade combo example sega- --matersystem --megadrive/Genesis ----megaCD/SEGACD ----32x -Saturn -Dreamcast/Naomi and it should be done for each manufacturer would certainly simplify and organize threads abit more
I don't know, I would only merge. IMHO adding sub-forum is annoying you can't quickly look the main page to see if their is new posts, you need to go in each one to see. When the offtopic was like this I didn't bother even checking it anymore. Glad it's back to normal now.
I fifth that. And a tutorial section, although that could be in the same section as repair/maintenance. Edit: Oh and I'd also like to see the latest site donors added to their profiles.
ok then do it like the everdrive forum got done each section right there at the front of the section but it would still need to be done for xbox and playstation and nintendo
Hacked or Edited? There's a difference you know. Just make sure only registered users can edit it and somehow find a plugin which integrates with VB4.
Don't have too many new features, or the forum will turn out like Wiihacks. Too much pollution on the forum index, etc. I was a moderator there before it got too crowded/full of drama. That didn't go too well either XD
The old style off-topic is super awesome - and so would be the return of the unmoderated section. I'm all for a lawless wasteland every once in a while. Will you change the aspect of the forums? I'm not very good at learning how to navigate things. That IM chat idea is not bad either. Maybe an archive with the old versions of the site would also be cool if it's not around here. Also, member profiles could have links to more stuff, like their collections or whatnot. I'm not an expert, though, maybe that would go unused.
Today I realized it'd be pretty good to have tags on this forum, like the ones they have on the Something Awful forums that black out the text but reveal it when you put your cursor over it.
Thank you very much for changing the Off Topic forums, even if you did just do it for Yakumo. I have a suggestion for a new forum: Video equipment forum. A forum for people to talk about displays, cables, scalers, convertors, etc. It's relevant to videogames because, well, video is right in the name.
