Summer/Hobby projects MSX

So I recently received an item from internet and actually dint know why I wanted it.
here it is, a v9958 (msx 2 right?) I could have gotten a v9938 as well but that one was more expensive (why?)
What should I do? make a msx2 ?
anyway, here is a pic.

 

You could try to make an MSX to MSX2(+) upgrade module?

 

Yea, ive seen someone make one, only sources where on the interweb archive. Think Ill try such a thing for my msx.

Funny, I am actually looking at an MSX I am thinking of buying at the moment, my plan also was to try and upgrade it to a MSX2+

 

I highly approve of this kind of projects

 

As most of my projects and idea... they sleep like my dreams. still want a msx2, so might pick this project up. No real updates besides me getting a MSX 2 game


Did get a bit help by a friend to fix two MSX(1), 1 is still gray scale but works, ill have to choose one to upgrade and maybe find a local MSX club to help me out. And he liked the idea of building a MSX2 or upgrade card and offered basic help like logic and testing. (he fixes Commodores normally as a hobby)
