Okay, so I have the urge to purchase import games to whore out the disapperance of the tabs in my SNES. Now, I'm in the mood for anything that you can say is good.. Easy to pick up and such. RPGs are out of the equation since they're all Japanese. I know that shooters and puzzle games are my best bet. I already have: Super Puyo Puyo 2 Remix I'm thinking about getting: Jikkyou Osyaberi Parodius Parodius DA Gokuju! Parodius I love puzzles and shmups like every other red-blooded human on this earth, but what about action and adventure? Which of those games are worth importing? Shmup and puzzle recommendations are still welcome.
ive played paradious and there really isnt any japanes in the game to really not be able to enjoy it, mostly just english, japanes version of super metroid has a full english option.
Isn't the Japanese version of Metroid quite expensive though? Easier to get US version too. I'd certainly recommend Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie, Marchen Cotton 100%, R-Type 3 and the cute 'em up greatness that is Pop n' Twinbee. I also played The Firemen the other day, and I was very impressed. It's a Jpn/UK release only. Get that security chip sorted ; )
Even games that might seem language-unfriendly at first, you often can blast through them through the help of trial and error, or better yet, walkthroughs / translation guides. I know no Japanese and haven't had a problem with Front Mission / Front Mission Gun Hazard.
meh the intro is stilled censored adn theres not 2p or guy, but yeah the subtle differnces are pretty obvious.
Even though i'm not a big Gundam fan, i'll say Mobile Suit Gundam: Endless Deul is still one of my favorite fighters of all time. Worth a pickup, Japan only and all that, mostly english screens.
I'll get one of those eventually.. Maybe.. Probably.. kinda First, I'm doing the StarFox 2 cart mod. After I've had experience (and raise some funds), I may get the flash cart, assuming I'm interested in whatever's out there that I can put on it. I don't live for RPGs, but if there's one I just need... If I buy the UK Pal version of Parodius and play it on my NTSC machine, will it still be 16% slower? This is with the PAL hack, of course.
