Super Famicom proper power adapter?

    I live in the US and I have a Japanese Super Famicom that I've been using for a little while. When I bought it, it came with a generic power adapter branded as "TOP GEAR" that has these specs.
    INPUT: AC100-240V 50-60HZ 0.3A
    OUTPUT:10V 1A

    Is this the power adapter I should be using? I want to make sure I'm not causing any damage.

    Specs are fine but you should verify it's a center negative DC output.
