Super GameBoy + flash cart

    Hello

    I have heard that the super game boy works with flash carts, but I wanted to know whether or not loading games off flash carts will produce the extra features in certain games. For example if I load Donkey Kong will the custom backgrounds and extra sound be present?

    I have some XX-in-1 carts and a flash cartridge at home I should give it a try to see how the super game boy react.

    I think it might work if the cartridge does a reset before loading the game (most of those flashcarts/XX in 1 carts starts with a non sgb enhanced menu...).

    It will depends if you have only one game or 2+ games with some menu on the flash cart.

    If you have only one game it will be the same cause the super gameboy bios will detect the game correctly (reading the header or the game).
    But if you have some menu then the bios will read the menu header and not the header's game (but maybe it will works if the flash cart assert /RST present on the gameboy cart pins)

    Good question indeed, not too sure myself unfortunately, never owned a GB/GBC flash cart and don't have a GB Bridge anymore to use a gba cart with

    The SGB features of these games are activated at runtime from the GB code itself, so the likely answer is "yes".

    If you can point out a list of some games, I can test and confirm later tonight on my EMS cart and SGB.
