Hi all, UPDATE: I HAVE ONE OF THESE NOW :-D see below for pictures. it's been ages since i posted, managed to steadily grow my collection over the last years. My aim is to own all post-pong video game console systems (and major gaming computers) and i start to get closer to the goal of owning most of them - even though i have only a small library of games for each system. I am up to 85 distinct platforms right now, including some of the more rare ones like Laseractive, 64DD and Pippin. There is one machine however that i fail to be able to get my hands on, and I wonder if anyone know just how rare it is. I am talking about a special edition of the "Super Cassette Vision" by Epoch, dubbed the "Lady Cassette Vision". It's this pink system that came in a matching case. I have hunted for it for quite some time, but failed to even find a single one. Anyone here own it? I would be curious about if you know how many were made, or how you acquired it. best tubo PS: thanks assembler for bringing the forums back in full glory! Keep up my fav community please, i ll keep supporting!
UPDATE: a kind soul on this forum pointed me to a place in Japan that ACTUALLY sold one, and i bought it. Once it arrives here, i shall post pictures.
summing it all up, yea, it did kinda cost a lot. The secret to owning a large collection is that you got to be doing it long enough. It is affordable if you work hard and buy ~5 consoles / year and buy machines while they are cheap to collect. And do it for say 25 years, never selling anything, you end up with > 100 machines. My biggest challenge is to keep them all in working condition (i have ~10 systems waiting to be recapped, and things like the Laseractive need regular care). UPDATE: since it has little to do with Lady Cassette Vision, moved system list here: https://assemblergames.com/threads/tubo-game-room.66938/
Wow. That's an amazing collection. Maybe u should speak to @Borman regarding the cataloging and preservation of these gems.
Hi. Thanks for pointing me at this - you are right - i only own a loose unit, and it will likely be US origin. I will check my device later, but i guess it will be like you said. Sorry for the typo.
