My Supereverdrive DCP1 chip came in the mail, and straight out of the package, I noticed that the game Mario Kart for SNES was already pre-loaded. So I thought I would start playing. At the character selection screen, half of Toad's head and Yoshi's head were missing (while spinning around).

I figured I would ignore this problem, but then I got into a race, and these weird scanlines kept blinking in and out of the game every 12 seconds or so of gameplay. To top this all off....the game just completed crashed beyond all recognition when I won the race.....

Mr. KRIKzz. Would this be a repair issue that needs be done, or do you think a bad rom?

Yes, PAL DSP1 games on NTSC console shows graphical glitches, it also happens on the original cartridge (I tried with my PAL pilotwings on NTSC console: shows glitches especially during skydiving).

You need to play with the correct region.

    cool

cool, I will check that out when I get home to see if that's the case. I suppose it will tell me it's a PAL rom in the flashing process, right?

I had the same problems with Mario Kart and Pilot Wings. Krikzz advice was to try different roms which I did and found ones that worked perfectly.

    yes

Yes, it was a PAL version of Mario Kart. We switched the rom. Works perfect now!
