Hey guys, I put together a little guide with some prices for a really niche collecting set, SNES Not for Resale cartridges. Here's the entire article: http://blog.pricecharting.com/2013/02/stevesesy-super-nintendo-not-for-resale.html Make sure to read the whole article and tell me waht you think but I'll post the gist right here with the prices that I have seen these pieces sell for. [h=2]LIST OF SUPER NINTENDO NOT FOR RESALE CARTRIDGES[/h] Contra III: The Alien Wars | Price Range: $30-$60 Donkey Kong Country | Price Range: $40-$120 Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double | Price Range: $50-$100 Ken Griffey Jr.'s Winning Run | Price Range: $5-$15 Killer Instinct | Price Range: $20-$90 Mortal Kombat II | Price Range: $120-$300 NCAA Basketball | Price Range: $5-$25 StarFox | Price Range: $10-$90 Street Fighter II | Price Range: $20-$50 Street Fighter II: Turbo | Price Range: $40-$60 Stunt Race FX | Price Range: $50-$80 Tetris Attack | Price Range: $30-$40 Turtles IV: Turtles in Time | Price Range: $150-$200 Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island | Price Range: $50-$80 There are only 14 pieces in this set and they are all pretty cheap. The crazy thing is that when I compare them to the N64 NFR prices, there is a noticeable price difference. What happened? Do you think people just like N64 more than SNES?
Most collectors know they are identical to retail. Identical to retail = lack of interest from most. Lack of interest = low prices.
Sorry to ask but did anyone ever open the Stunt Race NFR cart? The retail cart is a version 1.1 so there is a very small chance it is a 1.0 (though VERY small). If anyone has the cart and the right screwdriver bit I'd be very curious.
There is nothing crazy about it. As the author, do you own any of these games or have you played any of them? What is your personal experience in collecting "Not For Resale" games? Most collectors consider these label variations and do not collect them unless they already collect label variations. To be honest, your articles could benefit from actual content and not just compiled info taken from various videogame forums. Your articles seem like they are only written to drive search engine traffic to an affiliate website.
