I've another thread that one member has been helping me with but I've a question regarding voltage that I'm not sure about I'm doing a voltage test on my SPFQ device and testing the 7805 voltage regulator. Now I've tested the input from the 9v coming in and it's reading at 8v, so is that correct ?, as I would of thought it would be the same as is coming into the device ? The second reading which is the output that I need to be at 5v is actually 4v, well it did read 5 for a second but it's a constant 4v. Now my question is, is 4v close enough to 5v for it to run the floppy drive, or does it need to be dead on 5v ? Many thanks
