Hi I just recently got a Super Wild card and got it to work, I really want to get it to work from my PC and send roms to it, via its I/O port, this normally wouldn't be a problem but from my understanding the Super Wild Card DX1 uses a serial based port not a parallel port like the DX2 has...

I can find a reference stating that it useses "RS232 DB M/M 25 pin cable" with pins "12, 14, 15, and 16" removed, but want to use it with a standard DB-9 Serial cable instead so I need to look and see if any it requires any other I/O other than just normal TX/RX.

So does any one have the pinouts needed for it?

    Turns out its all LIES!!

Anyway on the Super Wild Card DX1 it has a normal parallel port, not a serial port at all, and a 1:1 parallel cable works perfectly fine...

You were probably looking at instructions for converting a DB25 serial LapLink/crossover cable to a straight DB25 switchbox cable.

It was on a page dedicated to the wild card dx, and I would spot a laplink pinout or a null modem pinout as Ive got them memorized from a when we use to make them for customers ;)
