    Hey people,
A while ago I modded my brothers PAL SNES with a SuperCIC chip, and it's working fine still.. except with a Secret of Mana 2 repro cart he got today.
The cart will only boot if the CIC is set to PAL (green LED on the SNES).. but after a little while, it seems the game somehow changes the CIC to NTSC (red LED).. wth? Also, trying to change region with reset does not work when this cart is inserted. Then, the screen gets really jittery, as if it's changing resolution or something.

Should all this even be possible? What could this be? All other games, from all regions work as expected with the SuperCIC.

I had a similar problem with a SuperCIC'd SNES and Yoshis Island. In the end it turned out that I had done the installation wrong and one of the wires wasn't attached properly.

Just out of curiosity, do you have a copy of Stunt Race FX? Does it work OK?

Maybe someone has installed the SuperCIC-key within the cart and set the pairmode on (for what ever reason). This would explain, why the SuperCIC-lock does not change the mode on reset button pressed.

Some pics of cart and installation within cart and console might be helpful.

You want to check pin 4 of the small chip in the bottom left of the PCB (edge connector facing you).

Sounds like its connected to ground, which enables pair mode.

Thanks! Do I just disconnect it, or connect it to something else?

Lift the pin, connect the leg via a 10k resistor to pin 1.

    Should sort things out

I now have the PCB, and just checked.. pin 4 on the small chip (CIC?) is not connected to gnd, but pin 8 is :/
I think this is the board: http://www.infiniteneslives.com/aux5.php and the site says it has "Multi-region CIC (press console reset to lock onto alternate region)" .. doesn't seem to play very nice with the SuperCIC in the SNES..

Edit: tried your suggestion anyway, and it works! I can now change region as usual with the supercic :)
