    Hi there,

I'd like to get my SuperFamicom original (it is not a 1-chip version) modded with better RGB by adding an AMP and doing an RGB bypass. Only issue, I can't find a proper document that will tell me the location of the legs to unpin in order to disable the internal RGB. I found this guide, but it's for a 1 chip: http://retrorgb.com/1chiprgb.html

If anyone has a nice picture of what pin should be disabled, I'd appreciate it if you could post it.

    Thank you

I'm interested in this too. I looked into it and it seems we'll need the schematics of the SNES to figure it out.

What revision is your SNES? Mine's a SNS-CPU-GPM-02.

Actually, there is no instruction so far for a RGB Bypass with the 3Chip-SNES Model. Actually, a friend has found this site here: http://vaot.mydns.jp/fc/sfc_sharp2.htm
The guy there 'improves' the RGB signal in between of Q3/5/7 and Q4/6/8. Looks quite fuzzy, but the result looks quite promising.
Personally, I work on an RGB Bypass using the THS7314 from S-PPU2 to the MultiAV directly. But, I'm not satisfied with the actual solution so far. I have to do some measurements again. The spoiler shows how it looks at the moment.

(Just the red, green and blue wire and the blue PCB is important. The other one has nothing to do with the RGB Bypass)

Hi there, thank you for the reply. When you say that you are not satisfied with the solution, do you mean with the results on the screen, or just the way you've set it up?
