Just wondering if anyone here has or knows anything about Supergrafx Dev kits? There's so little info out there on the SG as it is.

  2. I'd love to hear anything on official SG dev soft/hardware, as well as PC Engine or TurboGrafx! Hopefully there's someone knowledgeable out there... :-D

Do you guys mean official solutions? The 6280 is another 6502 variant so I would imagine all houses created their own tools... The SuperGrafx uses a 65816 & a 6280 so nothing is very proprietary.

Did NFGMan sell one of these recently, or was it just a normal PC Engine dev kit?

Uh, what? Unless you know something no one else does this is totally inaccurate. The SGX uses only one new chip, a bridge chip to handle the graphics for the second Hu6270 video chip. The CPU is the same as a PC Engine, which is (IIRC) a modified 6502. The 65816 is what the SNES uses.

Iunno, I just did a quick Google search, some French site said it had a 65816 too. The HuC6280 is a 65(C?)02 capable of addressing 2mb. It's pretty amazing that the SGX only has another 24k of RAM and an additional VDC.

Its probably done no differently than a normal Hu7D. If you know the SGX's memory map, you're set...
