Well, you'll need a pinout on the RGB ports before you do anything. Do you have a model number for the monitor you can look up info on? Once you find the pinout you'll know if it is RGB-HV or RGB-S.

And ofcourse look for marking on the monitor as it might say somewhere. I haev a Sony PVM, and I could have used a 25-pin port for RGB but it was much easier to use the BNC RGB connection.

Model number of the TV would be helpful too.

Most multisystem panasonic TVs with a 15 Pin HD socket will have the following pin out..

    1 - Red Video
    2 - Green Videio
    3 - Blue Video
    4, 5 - N/C
    6 - Red Ground
    7 - Green Ground
    8 - Blue Ground
    9 - N/C
    10 - Sync Ground
    11, 12 - N/C
    13 - H-Sync / C-Sync
    14 - V-Sync
    15 - N/C

If the monitor is not CRT then forget it right now. If it is a professional monitor it will have BNC connectors for YPbPr and RGB with the syncs being called HD/SYNC and VD. The Sync one is for Composite sync. You may need a manual to help you flick switches and these are easy to find on Panasonics website.
