OMG This collection is awesome! I had a collection like this a year ago, but sold everything. needed the money. I regret it everyday
Just spent a little time browsing this thread. It's really amazing to watch a collection grow like this. Very nice stuff!
Indeed, really cool to see the progress! And unlike many other people who attempted the same (with the same/or other platforms), you really keep going! 518/737 is a mighty number! Not sure if you have been asked this before, but did you collect/play a lot of PC-Engine before you started this thread? I know another German collector who had a huge PCE-collection around 12 years back and sold it all. He then rebooted his passion about 2yrs back and collects like crazy now, he must be like 300 games in to the complete set I think. Is it the same with you? Since I can't really imagine how anyone can be so passionate about a particular system all of a sudden without a past that explains it! And are you keeping the real expensive and hard-to-get titles for the end or do you hesitate buying them because of the price tags? You are already so close to a complete collection, but I don't think I've seen the really painful purchases yet (such as Renny Blaster, Bazaaru, Sapphire, Shougi Database, Faussette Amour, ...)!
Just looked through this thread for the first time, lovely collection and it hasn't took you long at all to get to this point! Keep up the good stuff mate, shall be watching this thread for new posts from now on
Hi Folks Thanks again for the comments ) Sorry for the late reply I have been on my travels. A bit of background to my collection: Back in the day (1990 ish) I had used to work at a computer store and then for a console importers (Who were one of the largest importers of PC Engine in the UK) Out of all the consoles and games that we had used to sell the ones that caught my eye (that were in my price range) were the Super Famicom and the PC engine. I started to collect PCE shortly after and managed to pick up around 60 or so titles. Unfortunately like many independent computer stores in my area, the store ceased trading and I had to sell my collection to survive :-( A few years back I decided that as I had some spare cash to focus on purchasing the games that I had used to own on the engine. Once I achieved that goal I just could not stop ;-) When I started this thread I had picked up around 100 titles already. As for the real expensive titles, one can hope for some bargains LOL. Some of these may need to wait a little longer. At the moment I am focusing on CD and HU cards with a slight move over to the lower cost SCD. Anyhow here are some recent Pick-ups: Games Japan (527/ 737) Hudson Vol (59/59) Shoot'em Ups (77/110) CD: Laser Soft Visual Collection Vol. 2, Rainbow Islands SCD: Arunamu No Kiba, GotenDiener, Magicoal, XAK III, Tenchi Muyou Ryououki PC Engine Fan: 1993 June (6), 1993 August (8), November 1993 (11), 1994 April (4)
