    Hi,

I finally got my N64 back and the Super Wildcard 64 (a/k/a Supercom Partner 64). Unfortunately the guy has had it for 10 years and the disks I burned are all degraded and wont read. If I burn a .v64 rom to a disk it says scanning then "list not found". I remember a text file having to be on the cd with the filenames, but does anyone know what I should call it? And is it just the rom name thats in the file?

(also is it .v64? I can't mind, but I seem to recall in the past converting the roms with a dos command)

Hoping someone can help as I'm out of ideas! I've scoured most search engines to no avail :(

    Source: sp64send.zip

So first convert it to the z64 file format using RTool(bb-rt3b1) or ucon64 or any other such application.

right I've converted it to Z64 using ucon64.

When I burn it to the CD I still get the message in the youtube vid about "list not found". I'm not sending it via the parallet port. Any ideas? The drive reads the cd and the list is supposed to display the menu of whats on the disk, I thought it was just a LIST.TXT with the names of the roms inside, but that didn't work.

Thanks though, that's me half way there, couldn't mind what format they had to be in! :) I'm really hoping I can get this all working.

Did that. Burned an ISO9660, 8.3 filenames only. On the disk 2 files

    AIRBOARD.Z64
    LIST.TXT

inside LIST.TXT is the name of the rom AIRBOARD.Z64 - still came up "LIST NOT FOUND".

So near to getting this working!

same i'm afraid, list.txt or LIST.TXT yield the same result. Made it in edit. Might be the wrong file name?

Got it working. Not from the CD, but using a dos boot cd and the old send util. Video attached. I'm well chuffed. Hopefully someone will remember the list name for the cd and I can run them without a laptop on top of the telly [IMG]

Thanks Sanni, for the name of the util :)

    That's very nice, thanks :)
I had a Wildcard years ago and the gamelist tool worked fine to recognize the CDs. However the upload of games to the Wildcard didn't work and finally I sold the system.

Tommy, look for RTool64. It's an updated version of Icage's RTool, made by Fractal + Silo of Blackbag. It works in win95/98se/ME with a nice GUI.

RTool64 helps to make sense of files/roms that have to be named with 4 characters only, for writing them to a cd. Also, I noticed on youtube, you don't know how to save games. Look for SRAM2 and include it as one of the roms that you write to a cd. When you finish playing a game, load SRAM2 to the wildcard and save the game save from the cart to a memback on your controler. (you'll need a mempack in the controler ofcourse).
