Hey, it'd be neat to know this as well. I'll be there from Aug 1st to the 6th.

I don't think this is the right section but whatever...

I'm going to be in Palo Alto the July 31st to August 7th with some visits to San Francisco and LA. Can someone point me in the direction of gamig spots? Preferrably not bootleg like what's in China Town :banghead:

    Please

    A few recommendations...

Game Dude would probably be your best bet for DC stuff. They are located in North Hollywood which is about 8 miles from downtown LA. Prices are good and the store is pretty remarkable for its sheer size and number of games. There is also a chain called Games 4 Less which has a location in Culver City right across from Toys 'R Us. They are good for imports on occasion. You could also take a run to the Toy District in downtown LA and just walk around as there are several small video game shops that seem to have imports and low prices.

in Sydney you can find many of recent titles at the EB - and I believe they are doing one of their usual sales days atm.

For older titles I know there's games trader(?) at Burwood Westfield shopping centre. It's on 3rd(?) floor close to Wollies supermarket...

    Hope it helps~

Heh, I was going to mention Game Dude too... The cool thing is they have all the prices (buying and selling) online:

    http://www.gamedude.com/

Keep in mind: that's not a list of their stock, just what they will buy/sell it for _IF_ they have it. They do have a decent 8-12 foot section of DC stuff though (at least, they did the last time I was there...), and about every other system you can think of...

Thanks for all the info folks....game dude looks good, looking forward to it...will get some pics if I can and post them...

I tried EB in two places in Sydney but their sale looked naff........loads of plastic banners hanging down ready to choke the first person that walks into them....

    Will try Burwood tommorow...cheers

I also recommend gamedude. Very friendly staff, great selection. The only thing I find odd or off about the place is that you pay the same to purchase games whether they are complete or not, but if you sell them games they deduct certain amounts depending on what is missing...Seems a bit odd that it doesn't go both ways. But other than that, a top notch place!

You are a bit out of luck. I used to live in Mountain View (right next to Palo Alto) and there really isn't much there outside of EB/GS. As far as San Fran, I'm afraid you'll have the same problem, only EB/GS. Last I was there, there weren't even any games in chinatown. I was told that there are a few good places just south of the city, but unfortunatly I never visited any of them.

Finding Dreamcast titles in Syndey or Australia in general is pretty rare.

Your best bet would be in a hock shop as the few game stores we have here don't trade anything older than Xbox1 games :p

There are quite a few hock shops on the seedy end of George St (where all those gun shops are) or in China Town there are a few importers, while the chance of them stocking DC stuff is rare its still a higher probability than somewhere like EB or GAME.
