Oh my gosh! the never ending gaming collection:drool: Absolutely amazing I could never dream of collecting what you've achieved so far and I only say 'so far' because I have a feeling there's more to come lol. So judging from the Genesis, HD was out long before in the 90's! Beautifully preserved collection none the less:thumbsup:
I'm only missing a model 1 box variation I'm pretty sure. Silvers have shot up and it's only going to get worse. I remember scoffing at some released Saturn games prices in 2004 only to pay nearly double to complete my collection. I really have most of the PAL Saturn games I want. btw I'm thinking of doing the 60hz mod to one of my PAL Saturns on Friday if I'm bored. I wanted a Vectrex bad when they came out but I couldn't afford one. I was in a resale shop and they had the Vectrex with 10 loose games for $129. Like a week later there was one ending on eBay with 3 games opening bid $45, $15 for shipping. I got it at the opening bid. I was 12 when the 2600 came out so most of the systems have memories attached to them. Kind of like how people keep photo's to remind them of good times, I keep systems & games for the same reason. Everything is kept out of direct sunlight and between 68-83 degrees (F). I don't smoke in the house (yes I respect my things more than myself). As far as what's next? PS3 & 360 eventually, I'm kind of busy at the moment;-) I have enough to last a life-time as is. Final Fight Revenge for the Saturn I paid $140 shipped and it's like new!
I've picked up a few toys since I last bumped this The only things that aren't "New" are the memory card, Necronomicon & Nights.
Some new things/pics I play a lot of Shining Force III s1,2,3,PD and my cat hates it. This controller makes us both happy A newer pic of my boxed accessories
Loving the Samsung Saturn Virtual On disc. I managed to get VF2 and Sega Rally but couldn't find Virtual On.
The seller jasonbar (on eBay & a few forums) had a couple more. Their seals have a few tears, he said. I know he's on Sega-16 for sure. It might be worth tracking him down if you're interested. Rather than bump my thread I'll edit this in here Overall very good shape with the top covers of Scenario 2 & 3 a little worn.
A couple days ago I noticed a variation of the Nights 3D Controller Box variation that came with a sticker on the box and a scratch off card in addition to the normal contents. Side by side The scratch off card Until someone let's me know differently or I find another variation myself, I believe I need one last item to have every US game & demo released for the Saturn. The free 3 Pack (Virtua Cop, Daytona, Virtua Fighter 2) without the $15 coupon marking on the upper right part of the box. No rush, I'll find it:nod:
With the addition of a Chinese version of MYST & a Brazilian copy of NIGHTS, I now have a Saturn game from every region.
Great Saturn collection. Thanks for sharing. BTW, I kinda enjoyed Shining Force Neo. Not a true SF game, but a good diablo 2 clone.
I'm pretty sure this is a pic of the known US variants (the games with the same serial number so the Virtua Fighter Remixes, etc aren't included) When I looked at the Dragon Forces I noticed one of the Working Design's flyers was different. On the left, the front and back of my more common one. On the right, the other. My camera is old so sorry for the craptacular quality. Did anyone else's Dragon Force come with the larger flyer?
My sleeve for Bootleg II arrived today so I had to update my US Saturn demos pic:nod: Other than Press Demos, that should be every piece of US Saturn software:dance: I'll still be on the lookout just in case.
