Assuming Mark's disk isn't modified: http://segakatana.com/hardware.php?cat=dcdev&id=hkt09 The one I just got has text in the white space. It's centered on the first line and reads: "S-4***". Mine also has the number set "***-*****C" where as the one Mark has pictured has B where C is. Anyone know what the S-4*** means or the C designation?
I noticed this a while back and only assumed that it was a later version of a System-Disc 2. I also noticed mine (S-2***) is labeled HKT-0910, but I've never seen an HKT-0900 or anything higher than 0910. When inserted into a Dreamcast, does the GD-ROM PVR in the music player look like this?:
Yeh it's the same graphic. I can rip it later and see if it differs if theres another to compare it to.
The S- number is the serial number for that disc. Might want to edit that out... S-2*** here, with B, and HKT-0910
Does Sega have ninjas out to retrieve their dev hardware or something? Not like this stuff wasn't being thrown out left and right. Whats in the trash is now public.
Theoretically they still own it, but yea, they can't really do anything about it anymore. It is more about the people the initially lent them to.. I think?
