Hello all, Soon, a few friends and I are going to have a little Halo tournament, and we were going to play teams using the XBOX system Link. I have never done this before, so I was wondering what I am going to need. Here is what I think I am going to need, please correct me if I am wrong, Multiple XBOXs Multiple Halo games Multiple TVs A Router and Ethernet to connect everything Thanks
if your all in the same place, then thats the way to do it... if not, you will wanna get some tunnel software. No idea what is best to use these days, but what it does is connects to a bunch of people over the internet, and fools the xbox into thinking they are on your LAN... )
if you wanna link one xbox directly to annother, your gonna need a crossover cable. otherwise any BS router will due. we did this once, lotta fun. just remember the weed and munchies.
Sigh... Sigh... if only I didn't suck SO terribly at an FPS when using an Xbox controller... :-( My Vietnamese mates have Halo parties three or four times a week, but I feel bad being on anybodys team as I'm little more than a stiff and slow moving target. Anybody know a way to trick a PC into thinking it's an Xbox for a LAN party? ~Krelian
Use the offical system link cable.. if the stores don't carry that use a ethernet cable instead. mark
Don't plan on sleeping after your first Halo party. I went with my brother to a Halo party (around 22 people taking turns) at around 1 PM one day, and I got home at 3 AM (after a short trip to Dennys). You'll have fun, though :smt023 .
Re: Sigh... i don't think its possible, sadly. however, i know there's some adaptors to use a mouse and a key board on xbox...i just don't know if it work correctly...and if it work with every xbox games.
