Could someone tell me how multiple taito type x machines networked together? Was it just a network switch with patch leads to each machine?
Do you mean Type X2? What software title? SF4 was networked using a router and ethernet cables. If you want to directly connect a pair of boards, simply use a crossover cable.
It's not a modern NIC, though - it's an 11-year-old system. If you're using NESYS (does it work on the original?), crossover isn't sufficient to get the online stuff working, obviously.
There are some nesys emu servers for some games. Just started programming in VBA.. But what i am doing for now is making a fake nesys system for half life 2 servivor. Program will let do allot of things: host games or join also have a point system so you can buy stuff; Change your player skin name etc, edit your weapons change key setup full screen Change default game map... atm i am just trying out somethings: thinking of getting a rfid reader/writer to add to the project for more emulation Some of my progress can be found on my site: http://dcnigma.eu5.org/?cat=64 Also i am translating the game to English stop for now but will start again soon. Because i like the game so much I am building a fake cabinet just for it Below are some test of the setup... Will make a custom frontend to launch my games
sorry I'm pretty late replying to my post. I was more referring to Battle Gear 4 tuned, I got network working with the dump that was released but was finding it would lag out or lose sync especially with anything more then 2 players. I was just using a 1gb switch and patch leads to the pcs
