As the title says! Any recommendations on tvs that tate well! My Sony Triniton discolours when switched to its side.
learn to play on your side. I'd have a serious answer but I'm not really sure. A lot of older computer monitors might do the trick.
Some PVMs will work, though I think some have issues. My PVM-20M2MDU can play games in TATE mode, and doesn't seem to have any problems. I don't do it very often though, mainly because it's kinda heavy. The nice thing about PVMs is their cube shape, which makes it easy to turn them sideways.
Thanks mate. Think I may have to look for a pvm/bvm. They have shot up in price massively probably due to all the you tube attention
If your trying to play dreamcast games in tate most crt computer monitors do just fine. Of course you gotta put it on its side when it's off first.
Most TVs are not designed to be placed on the side. For instance the reputed best; The Sony WEGA CRTs sit on a cradle. That heavy tube needs solid support, could eventually crack thru the bezel when rotated. Unless a Tube TV is designed for Tate, best to stick with a lighter LCD or LED TV. In the picture, note the cradle right above the green frisbee from my Power D0etection Chip Repair.
Yeah its really only for my Saturn . Got the dreamcast connected to my lcd( which flips easy ) and looks great with the slg3000. What's degause!
Actually, just about every Tube TV has it. Its the pop when you first power on the TV. The Degauss band is wrapped around the back of the CRT pictured in my previous post
