Just take a look at this in action! As a Wii owner I'm so looking forward to this. At last a real fighting game for the system. Maybe time to get a nice Hori stick for the Wii.

So far it's Wii only as far as home consoles go. There is an arcade version though but as for what hardware it runs on I don't know. Must be something easy to port to the Wii though since they look identical.

Only the 2nd video is. You can tell by the resolution. It looks a lot more square than a game console plus it says JAMMA Promotional Video on the link button.

Wii based, so, maybe it's something like Triforce. I hope that it'll be released on another system, because don't want to buy another stick.

Edit: Yakumo, I see both exactly the same:confused:

oh yes, so they are. Well, there are Wii videos out there in stores. Both look identical. I too thought that maybe it is triforce but I thought people had stopped devloping on that ages ago. I'll take a look atthe Japanese site to see if it mentions what hardware it's running on.

It's running on the only hardware that still has third party support, which as I mentioned in another thread is the Taito Type X2 board, which Capcom have released 5 games on already.

The screen grabs I've seen of it do have the arcade version running in a much higher resolution then the Wii.

Games are so portable nowadays it doesn't matter what hardware it's running on, you can really count on it not being an antiquated system like the Triforce however. I would have guessed the Type X2 as well, but a Google search suggests it's some new unannounced board, who cares, nobody can afford it I'm sure.

Personally, I don't understand why anyone'd want this game in the first place. Tatsunoko? Ugh! (and they didn't even include a Samurai Pizza Cat character :\) What's next? Toei vs Capcom (w/ outsourced Ninja turtles, GI Joe, My little pony)? Studio Ghibli vs Capcom? How ridiculous are people going to let Capcom get?

I am sure a lot of people are putting 2 and 2 together and getting 7.87 just because the game is on the Wii, the Triforce is unlikely given the lack of games that every appeared on the system and it's unlikely they would revive an old board just to make games on it. A new system based on the Wii would be pointless as unless Nintendo are planning to attack the arcades with new Wii arcade games there is no point as exisiting hardware is in the long run cheaper, more secure, more supported, better and more importantly more available.

I don't like the Capcom vs Everyone including your mother games, they are very sillym although I can see Nintendo doing a Super Smash Bros Vs Capcom probably...

Wow...Super Smash vs Capcom...what an awesome idea. That'd be alot of characters. Throw in Marvel too and I think my head would explode.

I'm really looking forward to it! It's cool that it will be released in December too because it means I can play it over the Christmas holiday!

If you knwo the characters this is actually quite an interesting concept. There's also bound to be loads of hidden characters as well as in most Capcom fighters (Marvel Vs Capcom 2 anyone?).

As far as looks go this is very impressive with it's polygon models and colourful effects. Can't wait to get in to some Capcom fighting action again. The last one I was really in to was back on the Dreamcast being Capcom Vs SNK 2.
