    I have 2 Megadrive 3's (an older, black version) but unluckily they aren't working for the moment.

    A guy from Brazil on Sega-16 got me an SMS 120 and 131 recently, he was very helpfull and accepted paypal. read more here..

    I really wonder if there's a cartridge port beneath the plastic or at least a modification ability...

    We don't. Still, those two TecToy "things" are aimed for kids.

    The price is because TecToy incompetence (it almost went Bankruptcy, before starting selling DVDs, Karaokes and mobile games). Plus, gaming stuff in Brazil pay the same taxes as gambling machines (which is stupid).

    Knowing this, you can understand that almost 80% of console and game sales are with stuff bought through Paraguay (that don't have a single tax for electronic stuff).

    A foreigner cannot own reais, nor have a bank account in reais.

    So to buy anything there, I have to go via third party.

    You can do all of the above with a special license "c5" account.

    Basically, they want the reais to stay in brazil and not be traded..
