I would like to order some Tectoy products but I live in Europe. Any idea where to get these puppies online? http://www.tectoy.com.br/produto_interna.php?id=5 http://www.tectoy.com.br/produto_interna.php?id=6
I have 2 Megadrive 3's (an older, black version) but unluckily they aren't working for the moment. If you're interested PM me, maybe I can get you a working unit, they're pretty easy to find here
A guy from Brazil on Sega-16 got me an SMS 120 and 131 recently, he was very helpfull and accepted paypal. read more here.. http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3987 He's called kollision (and I'm 'Now there are no limits' on that forum)
Just remember they aren't cheap: Master System 3 Collection - 131 games http://www.americanas.com.br/AcomProd/1858/720213 Price: 239,00 Reais = 92 Euros Super Mega Drive - 81 games http://www.americanas.com.br/AcomProd/1858/1150221 Price: 299,00 Reais = 115 Euros Plus shipping would be very costly too. And most important, those consoles don't have cartridge inputs like previous versions.
I really wonder if there's a cartridge port beneath the plastic or at least a modification ability...
We don't. Still, those two TecToy "things" are aimed for kids. The price is because TecToy incompetence (it almost went Bankruptcy, before starting selling DVDs, Karaokes and mobile games). Plus, gaming stuff in Brazil pay the same taxes as gambling machines (which is stupid). Knowing this, you can understand that almost 80% of console and game sales are with stuff bought through Paraguay (that don't have a single tax for electronic stuff).
Incase your interested in the Tec Toy SMS's here is a couple of threads I made about the system and the exclusive games.. http://shinobiman.proboards15.com/index.cgi?board=accessories&action=display&thread=5824 http://shinobiman.proboards15.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=5847
A foreigner cannot own reais, nor have a bank account in reais. So to buy anything there, I have to go via third party. You can do all of the above with a special license "c5" account. Basically, they want the reais to stay in brazil and not be traded..
