hey guys, I just came cross this news on yahoo. "Teenage son discovers his deceased father's ghost car in Xbox rally game" https://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/mot...s-ghost-car-in-xbox-rally-game-154558866.html At least he didn't win the Ghost car and overwrite the GHOST file. Anyone have similar experiences to share, the good old gaming time with your parents? Dang, I wish my parents would play video games during my time.
Kyo86sg, that was really cool. Awesome to see video games helping connect one with a lost loved one. Even better to see that its Animal Crossing.
not sure what to make of it?! :concern: feel really bad for those remembering. (never good to lose loved ones, why some cope by blocking/erasing/bottling up, completely understandable) the games saves will be similar to a physical creation by the passed, or a letter written, except interactive. ... really hope the effected can keep their minds under that? (if you have remaining family and they mean the world to you, put the pad down and TALK TO EM...then game on!) grateful i'm not reminded of specific lost loved ones, made a point NOT to keep any identifying effects, just memories of good times. :smile-new:
^^ the best analogy here. (that's what i should've added) though, 'bitter-sweet' is a serious understatement this end... ... wow! :concern: [edit] gut wrenching and heart crushing is the effect it had on me. at least as far as word power goes, VERY effective.
I think it's good, hopefully it evokes good memories of playing games, instead of the less good memories of hospitals, funerals, etc.
Good read, I still keep an XBOX Live account active for a good friend of mine who passed back in 2009, I fire up Black Ops Zombies "Moon" map now and then as that map will make someone on your friends list appear as the guy in the space suit.
