I beg to differ, my $400 2600n has been pretty damn good so far. Lexmarks are cheap, and you get what you pay for.

HP for their ink cartridge design alone. The lasers are o.k. but they report 1/3 full cartridges as empty. They were sued in europe over their design and lost.

If you want a good printer it's got to be Epson followed by Canon for sure. In Japan HP printers are under the NEC name. Needless to say that they are shit as well.

I've had bad experiences with canon and epson.

We have an oki colour laser that is pretty good. It is expensive though.

Hey guys, I got an HP 5550. Bought it 4 years ago more or less.
However I waste to much money to buy printers for it. And I don't mean official ones, I mean recycled wich are less expensive. Altought it's quality could be better, which one you guys recomend me? One up to 50€. I dont want nothing professional, just a good one to print Dreamcast covers xD
I also would like to ask if there was any way I could spend less money in printers, apart the recycled ones which else could I do to have cheaper paint?

Epson is the best. Easily refilled. Great ink usage. Small memory footprint.

    My epson? 12mb install.
    My HP? 240MB.

Ugh, I avoid Epson inkjets like the plague due to the utterly idiotic head design.

With an Epson the heads are fixed and if the printer isn't used *regularly* the ink dries, clogs the heads and basically destroys the thing.

With HP the heads are on the inkjet carts so if you end up with clogged heads at worst you lose a cart. Not the entire printer.
