Temps and pnet

Are these temps OK? http://i25.tinypic.com/117g1uf.jpg The machine was idle but the room was slightly warm...

when I 1st got my xdk (jasper proto) I was not able to reach pnet. So I obtained a new recovery 11511, yet that did not help...the console is able to reach the internet but cant reach live...what could be the issue? through the same router I was able to play live when i used my other retail console...

That's pretty hot for a jasper, mine runs maybe 45-55 MAX on CPU/GPU/EDRAM (MB is always pretty cool though).

Guessing your kit is pnet banned though as that seems to be the common story now adays. Test your connection and see what the issue.

Are you sure?! I was told it was not pnet banned so I paid 623 USD for it w/o a sidecar...

And the guy seems legit, although he was not the owner...

lol, I've seen people in the past with that message. From what I've seen it typically means you're banned too :>

Your MAC address is being denied - aka your kit has been banned from partnernet. The kit probably wasn't banned when it was shipped, but you got it banned somehow.

 

when I got the kit, I tried to connect but I was not...the same message?!!!

WTVR: I was not able to connect from day 1...

*EDIT-1* I think I was sold a banned console....I am sure of that...my seller just pm saying he was also banned just right now!!!!!!!!!!

Doom, it is not about the importance of pnet or not. I was offered other systems, but I picked this guy cause he was an old member of this forum and I trusted him...at least 2 ops in big EFNet channels offered me jaspers with sidecars...but I chose this guy....how am I going to trust other sellers here?! I dont blame the forum or the mods, it is not their responsibility, but what happened is really upsetting...

I would like also to add that when I paid I was not told it is a proto...I am not sure if all japser xdks are protos or not, but i wish if i was told prior to making the payment...also, he said he will give me a recovery disc with it...then after getting the kit, he backed out and said he does not own any!!!! He is a developer, owns a kit, so I am sure that he got recoveries...but he chose not to help....


*EDIT* I just looked at the logs, he said "Jasper Revision", what does this mean?

theres nothing you can do to 'deal with it' . The sale was done. A Jasper dev for that price is still quite good if you ask me , Pnet banned or not.

 

lol! Yes the sale was done because i was told not banned! otherwise, I would not pay....OK?! I spoke with 2 guys that know what they are talking about and they said a banned proto does not worth that much...

I am sorry, but i am new to all this, when you say "jasper dev", you mean proto, or final revision? do final revision jasper xdks exist?!

I can get myself a banned proto from china for 200 USD shipped....! But honestly, not sure if jasper or not...

 

i understand what you mean and i empathize with you. But there is no 'dispute resolution' section when it comes to this stuff. You can scream at the seller until you are blue in the face and he probably wont care. *All* the risk is on the buyer.

And further more - how can you prove that the unit was banned to begin with? It may not have been and your first connection to pnet may have initiatiated it as soon as the pnet server saw that mac address trying to connect.

 

As soon as I tried to connect for the 1st I got time_out message.....it did not say that I am banned or not, just time out....and i did pm the guy when i noticed that on the same day....
