Test Drive 6 is a pain on modern PCs. On mine it misdetects the graphics available, so only allows low resolutions to be set, and then there's no music in-game, as, like Ford Racing 2, it plays back .wma files in a funny way. So, like Ford Racing 2, I made a playlist semi-fix, that at least cues up the music in Windows Media Player before launching the game. I also included 2 dll files that are needed to run the game in the first place (drmclien.dll and strmdll.dll).

To find all this, go here: http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=30228#p396733

I'm posting more things on VOGONS as I fix them (or ask for help!)

Odd, I had a totally different graphical problem with TD6 on my PC.

Other than the bizarre graphical bug, it seems pretty playable for me. The music worked alrightish.

There's alternative ways to run the graphics, if you're in Win8 or 8.1, check my progress over here:
