Hello, I am a journalist and possess a PS3 Test kit to be able to play previews and such. Too bad, i'm not receiving any good titles recently and with my debug i can't connect to the PS3 store. I'm asking fellow owners of a test kit: Is there a way to connect to the ps3 store and download some demos? I have some PKG files in my possession which i should be able to install. In stead, they give me an error: An error occurred during the install operation. Strange thing is, couple of months ago i could flawlessly install demos that i got as pkg files. Do i need to adjust some of the settings? PS: For people wondering if the system is for sale: it's not. I can use it under contract with Sony ... selling it would make me end up in jail. Kind regards,
Maybe the firmware on your ps3 test? I know that actually is out the 2.40 version for debug machines.
A newer firmware will not do the trick, in fact, it worked on the older firmwares... but not now anymore.
If you are a registered TEST user with Sony, you should be able to contact their developer support team to assist you. I'm fairly sure that Sony would appreciate you doing that more than looking for solutions outside of their system...
well seems that i have the 2.30 firmware anyway has some debug user been able to use the Playstation Store? If so, could you explain me... i would be utmost grateful
Also I can confirm that retail package files still work fine on 1.54 firmware. This feature was removed in a later firmware.
