TEST PS2 DTL-H30002 Help!

I have two (well sort of 3) questions im a newbie so dont be too hard, first iv been told I cant use a BBA on this Debug unit as it cant read utility discs is this the same for HDLoader and the HDAdvance from the memory card? 2nd if so, is there anyother why to get the BBA + HDD working im not intrested on going online just running apps/stuff off the HDD. Last thing my laser seems to be dying I know you can get replacement lasers for retail ps2's would one of them work with the TEST unit I have? TIA

 

I am not sure about DTL-H30002. But I can run HDLoader (Patched as Master Disc) and play games off from HDD on my DTL-H30001. Hope can help.

 

It's only the official utility discs tthat wouldn't boot on the DTL-H30000/30001/30002 such as DVD driver discs, BB Navigator (Jap) and the US versions of the HDD utility disc and network adaptor disc.

If siovo (guy above) can run the HDLoader on a DTL-H30001 then it should also work on a DTL-H30002.

Does anyone know why the REAL discs don't work on the early TEST models (DTL-H30000/30001/30002)???

It's true. I copied a disc, patched it and it boots fine. Try it, you'll be impressed.

 

@dickibow, Na my unit is running fine it plays dvd and cd games a treat but all i get with cdrs and dvdrs is disc read error it use to run them but think the laser is on its way out
