TEST PS2 play games from internal HD

I have a TEST PS2 model DTL- H30001.

I want to play games of an internal hard drive.

Does anyone know the steps I would need to take to enable this?

I imagine it may be different to a standard PS2.

It's exactly the same thing as run it on a retail PS2. The only problem with that unit is that it cannot boot from MC or HDD. (no FMCB, no FHDB)

So you will have to make a CD or DVD MASTERDISC with openPS2 loader or whatever program you want to use to run the games on the HDD.

 

Thanks do I need to use UlaunchELF or soft mod the console, or can I just burn HDloader to a disc and launch the games from there?

Can I play PS1 games off of the hard drive as well?

 

You find the master disc making program, make a bootable disc with uLE elf and use it to start all the other stuffs.

 

So do I need to put uLE and HDloader on the same disc?

Not really. You need someone to make you a ISO with uLE then.

What kind of disc you do prefer ? DVD or CD-ROM ?

 

I have the ISO for uLE, I think I have some CD-Roms lying around.

 

It has to be a MASTER DISC ISO. A ISO made in NERO (which would work on a mod chipped console) will give you a red screen with the "Insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 disc" message.
