What's a rough estimate for how much I should be paying for a test PS2? Apparently it's brand new, unopened, etc... I've emailed enquiring after the model number, but no word yet. Would that make a big difference?

    TIA

if its a dtl-h3010x then about $500 as thats the most desired model. $400 for dtl-h3000x, Else around $350 for dtl-h1000x or dtl-h5000x. Those prices are approximates and are taking into consideration that it is new.

x denotes "region" - i may be wrong on this, but I think it is 0 for JP, 1 for US and 2 for PAL. But as I said, I may be wrong.

The region isn't really important - it just determines the voltage they run off in the older models, and how PS1 games are played.

the_steadster's right, but let me elaborate:

The model number makes a big differance when you're looking at TESTs. You can have a DTL-H30101E (The american version), But because of the E on the end it won't run on American power. I'd say the most desirable model would be the DTL-H30101U or the DTL-H30102U as both will play games from all reigons and run on any power source.

If that's the case, expect to pay between $800-$1000 for a complete set.

So put simply, last number denotes region, and letter denotes power supply?
