TEST PS2 version?

    Do you have a way to pass parameters to the Linux kernel? You should be able to figure something out that way. That, or recompiling the kernel.

    I think you have to recompile the kernel with some peramiter to explicitly force the extra ram... i'm not entirely sure. They never really ment for people to put it on a debugger.

    i can modify the p2lboot.cnf file that is on the memcard, this file contains the boot parameters for linux, i'll modify it and see if it works next week, i'll keep you updated...

    I'd really love to play around with PS2 linux someday... too bad it's a bitch to find in the US...

    Well if you have a test ps2 you don't need to have the original discs, the hdd don't need to be an official one, and any usb keyboard and mouse will work i guess.
    Or you can still order the PAL kit here in Europe, if you know someone who is willing to send it to you afterwards...

    Huh, i never thought of that... I guess you're right.
    And i almost have enough test ps2 laying around to form Voltron...
