    p.s. thanks for the PS2Test. It works just fine apart from some grinding noise when CD tray is opened...??? should I get worried?

    I had a similar problem after recieving my TEST. Turned outone of the palastic runners on teh inside of the drive had came loose and was causing cogs to interface incorrectl. Maybe open her up and take a look if you havent already?

    EDIT=========
    I am so drunk typgin this so it is no surprise if it doesnt make sense.

    if that A$0.50 brand new PSU replacement I got off eBay AU ever turns up I will have a look inside my PS2Test...
