I have an official master system 2 power supply, that came with the console, for a rather long time.
I still use this power supply to power my famicom, super famicom and pc engine consoles.
Some time ago, the fuse on the famicom blew, which I swapped for a new one.
Two days ago, the same happened with my pc engine. Again I swapped the fuse. This time though, the new one blew some minutes later, shuting down the circuit braker on my house!
This time though, I discovered that the power strip was the culprit.
I threw it away and bought a new one.

Luckily, my pc engine is still working after replacing the fuse, and checking it with another power supply.
Now, I want to test if the power strip did any damage to my old power supply. Is there a way to test it?
I did a simple continuity check and seems to be ok . I'm hesitant to plug it to a wall socket right now..

Then how are you going to test it?

I've never heard of a basic power strip going bad. I throw out bad Sega power power supplies all the time.

Why are you suspecting the power strip and not the power supply itself?

I suspect both the power supply and the power strip for being faulty.
On this power strip I used to plug that cheap chinese video upscaler I was talking about some time ago.
I also charged my phone from time to time, which then behaved strange (the mic and speaker shut off randomly).

As for the power supply, I checked it at a friends house with my multimeter. So far it seems to give correct voltages, but I doubt that I'm going to use it on my consoles anymore..
