Seriously, how can you fuck up such a simple game like Tetris? To make it have frame rate issues even in offline modes? EA has the title of the worst video games company but at least they made decent Tetris games (for consoles at least, F2P Tetris games for smartphones are obviously crap). And Ubisoft sell it for 20 dollars/euro? Are you kidding me? 20 dollars/euro for a digital version of Tetris? Fuck this shit! Good thing is that they gave a warning about the removal of other Tetris games at 3DS eShop made by other companies: Nintendo's Tetris for Game Boy that costed 5 dollars/euro and Ubisoft's Tetris Axis (from my favourite Tetris games, also available in retail version) that costed 10 dollars/euro. And guess what: many people after hearing about removal of older Tetris games at 3DS eShop and how awful and overpriced is Tetris Ultimate, they bought the old, good Tetris for Game Boy instead. Well done Ubisoft: more money for Nintendo, less for you. I'll close my post with this part from a user's review at Metacritic ( http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/tetris-ultimate ) : I would add: Brick Game is better than Tetris Ultimate.
UBI soft are taking the piss these days. By the way didn't you guys get puyopuyo&tetris? It's been on the Xbox One store for about 2 months now.
The crazy drunks at Ubisoft... Ubisoft is one of the worst companies in modern history. At least right now... It seems that some of their current games were rushed. Assassin's Creed: Unity anyone? Others were heavily delayed like Watch_Dogs for Wii U. We waited 6-7 months for what exactly? A map!? Of course! Instead of playing it on our Gamepad's while our nearest sports fan watches the Super Bowl on the very high end TV, we get a damn map!? I wasted $60 for nothing! (mind you I'm just giving an example, I don't actually have the game).
I can agree that Tetris Ultimate sucks. It's mostly hit or miss with Ubisoft these days. AC IV was good, but AC: Unity not so much. The Crew wasn't enjoyable at all ( for me ), but Watch Dogs although disappointing was more enjoyable.
To me, it feels like the issues of this and AC:U are showing some serious issues with Ubi's QA department. Some of the bugs that are being found by the general public should have easily been found and fixed in time with proper QA.
Just for trolling I want to go in public with my old Game Boy and play Tetris with the volume at maximum (why not? is it better when others do it with their smartphone games?) while others play crap like Candy Crash Saga or EA's Tetris (even without the microtransactions, playing Tetris with smartphones' touch countrols is a really bad idea) at their phones.
Fuck Candy Crush! Tetris is MUCH more addicting and is a MUCH MUCH MUCH better game. Hell some people might call you a cheapskate. But you might as well defend yourself and GB Tetris.
THIS THISSS THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I swear, big budget games' obsession with the Christmas season pisses me off to no end. It used to be games would get cancelled if they weren't out by Christmas (like Sonic Xtreme), now they release whatever alpha or beta version they're up to and expect that enough idiots will buy it and wait around for them to finish the game. The worst part is AC Unity could have been cool. Multiplayer assassining in revolution Paris? THAT SOUNDS FREAKING AWESOME, and yet we get a broken mess for the next few months until Ubisoft decides to end development and work on next year's AC game.
You'd be surprised what Ubi QA would waste days arguing over then actually doing their job. (speaking from past experience). I've had them waste weeks giving me bugs over a game being too easy or too hard yet they couldn't find a critical cert bug with memory cards that sony did and caused me to fail first submission. Oh I don't put it past marketing to force a bad game out but really a lot of issues still fall on QA and the dev team to sort out what is more important then others. As is now, ACU hurt the brand more then simply making it delay a week or two to fix the most blatant issues. Yet bugs like in Tetris wouldn't be over marketing forcing it out, Or how god rays went missing in PS4 patches for FC4 that were there at launch. There are just too many things pointing to bad QA process.
I really think that Tetris the Grand Master is the penultimate version of Tetris, anything else seems to be just a variant or deviation from it.
