So, is someone going to Tokyo Game Show this year? I'm going to be around Tokyo at that time, do you think it's worth spend a day at the show?
I might go. If i stay there for the whole day, where do i eat? Do they sell something (good?) inside, or can i get out and back in (without paying twice)?
There are actually decent restaurants in the area, as it is home to trade shows, conventions, and other large-scale events. Last I checked, you could re-enter.
I'm thinking about coming back a day early from Takayama to get to TGS, do you think it's worth? How hard is too meet a developer there? I mean, to snap a picture or autograph...
It's insanely crowded during the public days of TGS, hell I would even go as far to call those days almost inhumane. That being said, there will be developers on the floor (but mainly on stage and in the private boots for interviews w/ the press). Last time I went to the TGS I walked into Toshiro Nagoshi, he was really laid back and honored (at least it looked like that lol) to be recognized.
Last year was a bit dull to be honest as the Japanese gaming industry finds itself on its arse, hopefully with the release of the new consoles things will be a bit more interesting for TGS 2013.
i'm going and already have my early entry ticket. last years figures were crazy, something like 90k on the Saturday and 70k on the Sunday, with the ps4 being so close to release i can see it being considerably bigger this year.
Yeah, no problem with re-enter as long you keep the badge. Didn't been to TGS for almost 5 yrs now, mostly due to the lack of interrest into new systems and stuff. If time let me go, I'll probably visit this year. To meet some old fellows, which I know will be there for quite sure.
