I just wanted to say thank you to Moontar and Deep3r for helping me figure out if the Grand Theft Auto 4 console I purchased was authentic. Moontar responded to my many emails with friendly advice and Deep3r was kind enough to send me pictures of his console. Everything worked out in the end and we finally have the real deal and our first limited edition 360 console. Thanks again guys, The whole Assembler community has been very welcoming and helpful,
The console is really slick. The casing has a black metallic feel and the quality on the artwork is very nice. And you just know that the case/artwork was made in a factory. I was expecting some high quality sticker or paint job over the plastic. The artwork is embedded and part of the plastic cover. I found this for a little less than $300 shipped,of course it did not come with the original controller in that case with other accessories. But it came with a standard wireless controller and all the hookups. I thought that was a very reasonable price for a console that was limited to 500 units.
Sorry to move your thread neogeo79, but the feedback forum is for the site feedback not general members. I didn't put this in the actual marketplace feedback thread as this is a general thanks. Just thought I'd explain why I moved your topic. On a side note, you're a contributor to the forums and glad to have you here. You got the ball rolling about the orange XBOX
No problem Hex1gon about moving the thread. Well your blog and especially your youtube channel has been extremely useful and informative for everything XBOX. Not to mention it is very professionally done. That is the reason why I contacted you first for more information on the orange lid. By the way, did Emilio contact you first as well? I wouldn't be surprised if he did. Keep up the good work!
Hey Syclopse, Actually this was a concern I had before I bought it. But when I contacted Deep3R asking him for pictures of his console, he did not have the Colorware stamp on the back. This one does not have it either. So far it seems this console even though it was made by Colorware does not have their logo on it. Do you happen to own one?
No retail / game of the month consoles in my collection, I'd go broke trying to complete it. Just when you mentioned nice artwork I figured it was a colorware job as they do great work.
Stuff like this is why I've been a regular member here for over half a decade now. Brings hope in a somewhat dark time of the community.
Thanks! Yep Emilio did contact me first on the Xbox Archive facebook page, as I was leaving the house
